Morningstar investment research provides us data on approximately 330,000 investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles, along with real-time global market data on more than 5 million equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets.  As of Sept. 30, 2011, they provided extensive data on more than 119,600 mutual fund share classes, 30,800 stocks, 8,800 separate accounts and collective investment trusts, 1,900 closed-end funds, 109,000 variable annuity/life subaccounts, 8,400 exchange-traded funds, 7,100 hedge funds, and 4,300 state-sponsored college savings plan portfolios.  Their historical performance data on mutual funds goes back to 1976. In addition to raw performance statistics, they also cover portfolio holdings for the mutual funds and other managed investment products in our database.  They have 84 years of capital markets data capturing performance of 18 market data indexes.

We use the Morningstar Advisor Office Edition for extensive research and information.  Morningstar provides us timely, accurate statistics and portfolio data.  We also use Morningstar for model portfolio management and maintenance, including timely rebalancing notification on our Portfolio Architect models for Portfolio Passport clients.
